Tulum offers heaps of nightlife options, and one can be spoilt for choice. This guide should break down some of the best spots for you to make the most out of your Tulum experience.
Remember, a lot of the party actually lies in the restaurants in the Hotel Zone. Check out my full guide to the Best Party Restaurants in Tulum.
Saturday Night: The Ultimate Party in Tulum: Papaya Playa Project’s Full Moon Party
If there’s one night you should plan your entire Tulum trip around, it’s the Papaya Playa Project Full Moon Party. This legendary beachfront event is the beating heart of Tulum’s nightlife – a high‑energy fusion of tribal beats, world‑class DJs, immersive performances, and that unmistakable boho‑luxury vibe the town is famous for. Set against the moonlit Caribbean Sea, PPP transforms into a festival‑style playground where music, art, and nature collide. It’s vibrant, surreal, and totally unforgettable – the kind of night you’ll talk about long after your tan fades. If you want the ultimate Tulum party experience, this is the one you don’t skip.
Located right next door to Azulik – making it the perfect follow‑up after a sunset session – PPP is where Tulum’s nightlife reaches its peak.

Vagalume
If you’re in Tulum to party, Vagalume is a non‑negotiable stop. When there’s an event on, get there early as everything closes at 1am, and the energy ramps up fast. The venue is stunning: a huge beachfront tent with artful décor, boho‑lux lighting, and a crowd that comes for deep house and techno sets that feel straight out of a festival.
Once the lights go up, the night doesn’t end. Most people head straight to Bonbonniere to keep the party going, so don’t be surprised if you end up partying with the same faces your entire trip – that’s part of the Tulum charm.
Vagalume is for the nights you want atmosphere, music, and a seriously beautiful backdrop. Add it to your list.
Bonbonniere
As I covered in my Tulum know before you go guide, Tulum’s Hotel Zone closes at 1am. If you are looking to continue the party, the one and only spot is Bonbonniere. It is the only club on Tulum beachfront that exceeds this curfew with a 4am closing time. They play a range of house and electronic music mixed with old school classics. The sound system is amazing and you will likely return here on several nights of our trip. Don’t worry – they switch the vibe up each night. As clubs go, this one is truly great.
Tulum’s Iconic Jungle Raves
Tulum is famous for its jungle raves – immersive, open‑air parties set under palm trees, moonlight, and towering art installations. These events blend world‑class DJs with Tulum’s boho‑lux energy, creating nights that feel more like boutique festivals than club outings. Whether it’s a deep‑house lineup in the jungle, a themed beach rave, or one of the coveted full‑moon events, these parties are where music, nature, and atmosphere collide. If you’re looking for the most unforgettable nights out in Tulum, the jungle rave scene is where the magic really happens. You can find out what events are on via Resident Advisor.
They span a massive area with zero phone signal (in my case anyways), so my number‑one tip is simple: do NOT lose your friends. It’s incredibly easy to get separated, and once you do, finding each other again is near impossible. We learned that the hard way…
Tulum’s Best Day Parties
Tulum has an extreme quantity of choice when it comes to beach clubs to spend your day. I have tried to narrow this down for you. Find my full beach club guide here.
The top parties at Tulum’s iconic beach clubs you should not skip are:
- Bagatelle Beach Brunch
- Taboo Beach Club
- Tantra Beach Club
Nightlife in Tulum Centro: Club Eden
If you’re staying in Tulum Centro or just fancy a night away from the pricey beachfront, check out Club Eden. Open from 10pm – 4am, it’s one of the best late‑night spots in the area with a fun, local vibe. Keep an eye on their Instagram – if they’re hosting a disco night while you’re in town, it’s absolutely worth going. The music is great, the crowd is lively, and the atmosphere feels authentically Tulum without the Hotel Zone price tag.
