With so many beach clubs lining Tulum’s famous coastline, choosing the right one can feel overwhelming. Each spot has its own vibe – from laid‑back luxury to full‑blown party scenes. This guide breaks down the best beach clubs in Tulum so you can pick the perfect place for your mood, whether you’re after great food, a stylish crowd, or a dance‑til‑sunset atmosphere.
Bagatelle’s Sunday Brunch Party
If you’re in Tulum on a Sunday, Bagatelle’s Beach Brunch is the place to be. This is one of the most famous daytime parties in the Hotel Zone – a full production brunch that turns into a beach‑club dance fest. We booked for 12:30pm, but the real party doesn’t kick off until around 3pm, when the DJs dial up the energy and performers dressed as Alice in Wonderland characters started moving through the crowd.
Because we left it too late to reserve, we ended up at an indoor table – still fun, but if you want the true Bagatelle experience (and the best photos), book a beach bed. That’s where the table‑dancing, champagne‑spraying, ocean‑breeze party energy really hits.
Bagatelle isn’t cheap – expect premium beach‑club pricing for food and cocktails – but the atmosphere delivers. Think high-energy brunch meets beach party, with everyone up dancing well before sunset. The event wraps around 6pm, and trust me: you won’t want to commit to evening plans afterwards. If you do Bagatelle properly, one party is more than enough for the whole day.
If you’re building a party‑focused Tulum itinerary, Bagatelle is a must‑include Sunday plan – chaotic, fabulous, and unforgettable.
Buuts Ha - A Beach Club Based at a Real Mexican Cenote For a Truly Unique Experience
Buuts Ha is a beach club at a real Mexican cenote – cool right?! They host evening raves if that’s of interest (check Resident Advisor to see what’s on while you’re in Tulum). During the day, Buuts Ha is a tranquil oasis to lap up the sun, enjoy the beautiful setting, and eat phenomenal food. Given it isn’t right in the centre of town, you’ll need to take a 20-25 minute taxi to get here, but it is certainly worth the journey.
Do not miss the photo opportunities in their iconic walkway. This spot is really Instagrammable so make sure to wear your favourite bikini if you’ve not yet had your desired holiday snap!
The restaurant food is no joke. Fresh ceviche, amazing tacos and really good drinks. Lunch here is good value compared to other beach clubs in Tulum and is super yummy!
Adventure seekers can dive from into the fresh cenotes from high ledges, and the area is full of lush beds and hammocks for those looking for a day of relaxation. This is not to be missed for your next trip to Tulum!
Tantra Beach Club
If you’re looking for a beach club in Tulum that guarantees both great food and an electric party atmosphere, Tantra Beach Club should be at the top of your list. Start your day by booking a poolside bed and diving into their excellent cocktails and menu – the squid and sushi are standout favourites.
By around 3.30 – 4pm, the entire vibe shifts as Tantra transforms into a full‑blown pool party. Expect everyone up and dancing to a fun mix of sing‑along classics, house, and R&B. The event usually wraps around 7pm, giving you the perfect sunset moment with high energy and great music.
For a beach club that blends luxury lounging with a lively, dance‑til‑evening atmosphere, Tantra is one of the best spots in Tulum. If you want a guaranteed fun day out, this is the one to choose.
Of all the beach clubs we visited in Tulum, Tantra had the best party atmosphere – fun, lively, and the perfect spot if you want your beach day to turn into a dance‑til‑sunset kind of afternoon.
Taboo Beach Club
If you’re choosing a beach club in Tulum for great food, Taboo Beach Club delivers – the dishes are really good. However, when it comes to the music and overall atmosphere, this one depends heavily on your taste. Taboo leans towards American rap and R&B, and while many guests absolutely love this high‑energy playlist and the atmosphere to match, if you prefer house, classics, or a more laid‑back beach vibe, the music here may feel a bit intense.
Overall, Taboo is a stylish spot with solid food, and a great place for RnB lovers.
