Honest Review Of Azulik’s Sunset Sessions

If you’re planning a trip to Tulum, there’s one experience that needs to be on your list: Azulik’s Sunset Session. Part treehouse bar, part architectural fantasy, and entirely unique, this spot has become one of Tulum’s most iconic sunset locations – and for good reason.

What Exactly Is the Azulik Sunset Experience?

Azulik hosts daily sunset drinks from around 5pm – 8pm, with walk‑ins only if you’re not dining. Doors open at 5pm, and trust me, you need to be there just before opening. It’s extremely popular, and the treetop layout means capacity is limited.

Expect a queue, but the payoff is worth it.

Entry costs around 1,000 MXN (~£40) and includes one welcome drink. Once inside, you’ll climb the famous winding wooden walkways into Azulik’s sculptural rooftop space. The architecture is insane –  I’ve truly never experienced anything like it. Think curved timber tunnels, nets suspended over the jungle, and open‑air platforms that catch the light as the sun drops behind the trees.

The Vibe: Bohemian, Beautiful, and So Tulum

If there is one place to romanticise your Tulum trip, this is it. Nestled on top of the jungle with an incredible sunset, the DJ plays electronic house music in a relaxed environment. The crowd is stylish and cool, and the overall vibe screams bohemian idyllism. And if you don’t believe me – check the pictures below for yourself.

It really is a bucket‑list moment.

What Are Prices Like at Azulik? (Hotel & Restaurants)

Azulik is more than just a bar. It’s a full luxury eco‑hotel with multiple restaurants, and yes, they’re pricey.

Azulik Hotel Prices (2026)

Room prices fluctuate wildly, but expect luxury hotel rates. Azulik is marketed as a luxury adults‑only property with very unique architecture, multiple restaurants, and wellness facilities. The cheapest room rate starts around $199–$300 per night on average. Other rooms (villas) often range far higher, and premium villas on Booking.com show rates going significantly above those entry prices, depending on season.

Restaurant Pricing at Azulik

Azulik has several dining concepts, but the most famous is Kin Toh, perched high above the jungle in giant woven nests.

Kin Toh Pricing

Premium dishes like wagyu, tomahawk, and seafood risotto highlight the luxury positioning. Expect high-end dining prices.

If you want the iconic private “nests,” here’s what you’re actually paying:

  • Nest rental ranges from 8,000 MXN to 12,000 MXN depending on the nest type
  • PLUS a minimum consumption of 3,000 MXN per person
These are official prices listed directly by Azulik.

Other restaurants at Azulik

Elixik, Tseen Ja, Mantli and others typically sit in the mid–high price range, with menu prices on TripAdvisor showing meals between 582–1,747 MXN at the more casual spaces like Azulik Tulum Restaurant. These are not as iconic as the iconic Kin Toh setting.

Is the Sunset Session Worth It? My Honest Verdict

Yes – with realistic expectations. You’re paying for the architectural experience, the view, atmosphere, exclusivity, and the photos (let’s be honest).

Azulik is a vibe, a spectacle, and an experience you can’t get anywhere else in Tulum. For me, it was one of the most memorable moments of the trip. It should be on everyone’s Tulum bucket list!
